Seeking Sanitary District Commissioner
The Town of Neenah Sanitary District #2 is seeking to fill a vacant position of District Commissioner.
The District consists of three commissioners, elected at spring elections in odd-numbered years. The incumbent, Steve Coburn, is not seeking re-election in Spring 2025.
The Commission is responsible for the Sanitary District’s complete management, including financial and operational functions, per Wisconsin State Statute §60.77. The District contracts for the daily management of the system. The District’s administrative functions are managed through the Town of Neenah office. District Commissioners have oversight of these functions and manage the budget.
District meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, at 7:00 pm at the Town of Neenah Office. Commissioners are compensated for their time with a monthly stipend, per diem for attending meetings, and hourly pay for any additional work performed for the District. You must be a resident of the District to be a member of the Commission.
No experience is necessary, you will be provided with on-the-job training and the necessary resources.
If you are a community-minded individual with good communication skills, we would love to talk to you and answer any questions you might have.
