The mission of the Clerk-Treasurer's office is to serve our residents, elected Town Officials and the public in the most friendly, efficient and cost-effective manner possible.

The Town Clerk-Treasurer office is responsible for management of town records, election administration, legal notification to the public, issuance of licenses, human resources, provides administrative support to Town Board, Commissions, Committees and other town departments,  is responsible for financial matters such as accounts payable and receivable, billing and collection, cash management and property tax collection for the general fund.

Ellen Skerke

Ellen has been the Town Clerk-Treasurer since June 2013 and currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer for the Wisconsin Towns Association Winnebago County Unit.

Professional

Ellen graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She passed the CPA exam and worked as a Cost Accountant for an electronics manufacturing company before taking time off to raise her children. After moving to Neenah, Ellen worked for the non-profit organization Future Neenah for 18 years as their Accountant.

Personal

Ellen has been married to Ed for 35 years.  They moved to Neenah 26 years ago and raised their two children.  Her hobbies include cooking and quilting.

Ellen enjoys talking with and helping the Town of Neenah residents so stop in anytime to say Hi!

Elizabeth Peterman

Elizabeth has been the Deputy Clerk-Treasurer since November 2018 and serves on the Communication Committee for the Town of Neenah.

Professional

Elizabeth holds certificates in Peachtree Accounting and Property Assessment. She graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with an emphasis in accounting. She graduated from Bellevue University with a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in accounting. She is currently pursuing a Master in Public Administration at DePaul University. Elizabeth previously virtually managed a commercial real estate firm and worked in an assessor's office.

Personal

Elizabeth has been married to her husband, Joshua, for 17 years. They have one child and three dogs that they enjoy spending time with. She enjoys reading, traveling, and music.

Elizabeth has enjoyed getting to know the residents of the Town of Neenah and looks forward to assisting them in the future!
