The mission of the Clerk-Treasurer’s office is to serve our residents, elected Town Officials and the public in the most friendly, efficient and cost-effective manner possible.
The Town Clerk-Treasurer office is responsible for management of town records, election administration, legal notification to the public, issuance of licenses, human resources, provides administrative support to Town Board, Commissions, Committees and other town departments, is responsible for financial matters such as accounts payable and receivable, billing and collection, cash management and property tax collection for the general fund.
Ellen has been the Town Clerk-Treasurer since June 2013. As of January 1, 2021, she became the Administrator-Clerk-Treasurer. She currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer for the Wisconsin Towns Association Winnebago County Unit.
Ellen graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She passed the CPA exam and worked as a Cost Accountant for an electronics manufacturing company before taking time off to raise her children. After moving to Neenah, Ellen worked for the non-profit organization Future Neenah for 18 years as their Accountant.
Ellen has been married to Ed for 35 years. They moved to Neenah 26 years ago and raised their two children. Her hobbies include cooking and quilting.
