The Town contracts with Winnebago County for snow removal on Town Roads.
Winnebago County Highway Department manages our snow removal using a tiered priority system. Their first responsibility is Hwy 41, followed by State and County roads, and then residential areas.
Because of the storm’s duration, the rapid rate of snowfall, and the treacherous conditions, crews have had to remain on those high-priority arteries to keep them passable for emergency services. This has unfortunately delayed their progress into town roads. Please know that the plow drivers are working tirelessly and will reach your street as soon as possible.
We understand the frustration many of you are feeling and realize how disruptive this is. We are all doing our absolute best to navigate this emergency, and we appreciate your continued patience.
